Does the fuel filter need to be replaced?

If it is a built-in fuel filter, the service life is longer and can only be replaced after 100,000 kilometers, but if it is not used frequently, it can be replaced after a few years. If you use an external gasoline filter, it needs to be replaced frequently, about every 10,000-20,000 kilometers, and the replacement is relatively simple. Therefore, the internal and external gasoline filters basically need to be replaced, but the service life is different.

If the gasoline filter element is not replaced for a long time, the filter element will become dirty, and the dirty gasoline filter element will affect the situation of insufficient fuel supply and unstable gasoline pressure.

The dangers of not replacing the gasoline filter for a long time

1. If the acceleration is too fast, the vehicle will feel that the power is insufficient and the starting speed is slow;

2. It is difficult to start, it takes many times to succeed, and sometimes even some accelerators are required to start;

3. The blockage of the gasoline filter element reduces the fuel supply pressure, resulting in an increase in the working pressure of the gasoline pump, which further promotes the damage of the gasoline pump.

4. It may affect the sudden flameout during driving, and there are certain safety hazards;

5. The gasoline cannot be completely filtered, which will affect a large amount of carbon deposits in the engine after combustion, and may also cause knocking.
