Why change filter base?

Many owners are dissatisfied with major DIY projects, and even avoid the most basic maintenance of diesel engines, thinking they are too complicated. However, in many ways, diesel engines are simpler than similar gas engines. Although there are some differences, these are not major problems when replacing the fuel filter.

In order to work effectively, all engines need to be supplied with clean fuel that does not contain particulate matter and water. Many diesel engine failures are directly related to fuel problems, so regular replacement of the fuel filter within the time interval specified by the engine manufacturer (and sometimes more frequently) will greatly help prevent failures. Most manufacturers recommend replacing the filter after the engine has been running for a certain period of time, but even if it is rarely used, it should be replaced at least once a year.

Replace Fuel Filter Regularly

Failure to replace fuel filters and filter base on a regular basis can leave the filter clogged, reducing fuel flow. This can lead to poor engine performance, and increased potential for breakdowns and costly repairs, as the engine is not able to draw enough fuel.
