How often should the fuel filter be replaced?

The fuel filter is also called the fuel grid or the gasoline grid. It can filter impurities in gasoline to reduce the formation of dirt in the combustion chamber of the engine, and its cleanliness and purity can be effectively guaranteed.

If the fuel filter is too dirty or clogged, it is mainly manifested as follows: when the throttle is added, the power is slow or unable to get up, the car is difficult to start, and sometimes it takes 2-5 times to fire. Most engines are equipped with disposable non-removable and washable paper filter gasoline filters. The replacement cycle is generally 10,000 kilometers. If you add less gasoline impurities, it is not a problem to replace one after 15,000-20,000 kilometers. The filter has arrow marks on the oil inlet and outlet. Do not install it backwards when replacing it.

The material of the fuel filter varies from car to car. The price of the fuel filter for most economical models is between 50 and 100 yuan, and the price of the fuel filter for a few special models is between 100 and 200 yuan. The gasoline price of mid-to-high-end cars is above 100 yuan, and the overall difference is not large. Some accessory parts or non-brand gasoline grids can easily lead to oil leakage, which may cause spontaneous combustion or even explosion. It is quite dangerous to the body and the human body. The Hunter does not recommend using it.

Matters needing attention when replacing the fuel filter:

1. It is generally recommended to replace the fuel filter every 15,000-20,000 kilometers.

2. When replacing the fuel filter or maintaining the fuel system, smoking and the use of open flames are strictly prohibited.

3. If you need to use lighting during the maintenance operation, you must ensure that the lighting used is in line with occupational safety standards.

4. The replacement of the fuel filter must be carried out when the engine is cold, because the high-temperature exhaust gas discharged from the exhaust pipe when the engine is warmed up can also ignite the fuel.

5. Before replacing the fuel filter, the pressure in the fuel system should be released according to the operating procedures specified by the automobile manufacturer.
