The difference between a fuel filter and an oil filter is:

1. The main function of the gasoline filter is to filter the impurities in the gasoline, so that the gasoline entering the engine combustion is clean, the combustion is more sufficient, the formation of carbon deposits in the cylinder is reduced, and the power input is better;

2. The car oil filter is located in the engine lubrication system. Its upstream is the oil pump, and the downstream is the various parts in the engine that need to be lubricated;

3. The function of the machine filter is to filter out the harmful impurities in the oil from the oil pan, and supply the crankshaft, connecting rod, camshaft, supercharger, piston ring and other moving pairs with clean oil to lubricate, cool, cleaning effect;

4. In order to reduce the frictional resistance between the relatively moving parts in the engine and reduce the wear of the parts, the oil is continuously transported to the friction surface of each moving part to form a lubricating oil film for lubrication.

The function is basically the same, both of which are to filter harmful substances in the fuel system. The difference is that one filters impurities in gasoline, and the other filters impurities in diesel.
