Methods of separating oil and gas

There are two ways to separate oil and gas by taking the injector rod compressor as an example:
1. Affinity Coalescence
The affinity coalescence method is to use special components to coalesce oil droplets with smaller diameters into oil droplets with larger diameters, and then separate them under the action of gravity. The main target of the affinity coalescence method is small oil droplets with a diameter of less than 1 micron, and the oil droplets are separated by two steps of filtration and coalescence. The original used in the separation process is a porous filter material, which can filter the oil droplets with larger diameters in the lubricating oil, and make the oil droplets with smaller diameters coalesce on the fibers of the original material, and finally combine into larger diameter oil droplets.
2. Mechanical collision method
The mechanical collision method is to use the weight of the oil droplets to separate the large oil droplets from the gas. The mechanical collision method is generally applicable to oil droplets with a diameter greater than 1 micron. In the actual operation process, the collision between the obstacle and the oil droplet is used to attach the oil droplet to the surface of the obstacle, thereby achieving the purpose of separation. It must be noted that the mechanical collision method requires that the oil-air mixture has a certain speed when it hits the obstacle. Taking the oil-injected screw compressor as an example, it is optimal when the speed of the mixture reaches 3 meters per second. Too high or too low speed will make the oil droplets gather
