What are the consequences of only changing the oil without changing the filter? What are the effects of changing the oil without changing the oil filter?
The full name of the machine filter is the oil filter. Its main function is to remove impurities in the oil and provide clean oil to various parts to achieve lubrication and cleaning. What are the consequences of only changing the oil without changing the machine filter?
1. If the machine filter is not replaced for a long time, it is easy to cause a lot of impurities to accumulate on the filter paper, thus causing the filter paper holes to be blocked. Once there is a blockage, it will cause the oil to be unable to continue to filter, and the engine will not be able to get a better lubrication effect, making the vehicle unable to travel normally.
2. The filter paper is difficult to clean. Even if the outside is cleaned, the impurities inside still exist. If you continue to use it, the filter paper will not be able to play a better role, causing the pressure of the lubricating oil to drop, which will directly lead to accelerated wear and tear of the engine. Therefore, when changing the oil, be sure to change the filter.
3. If the filter is not replaced in time during the oil change, the pollutants in the old filter will directly enter the new oil for circulation, thus losing the effect of replacing the oil. If the situation is serious, it may also cause the oil passage to be blocked, which will eventually lead to mechanical failure.
